1. Product

A&H MIDI Bridge ("the Software") is a macOS application developed and sold by Koodisto Digital (business ID 2829298-1, Finland). The Software is sold as a digital download through Ko-fi.

The Software provides MIDI-over-TCP/TLS bridging for Allen & Heath digital mixing consoles. It is an independent, community-developed tool and is not developed by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Allen & Heath or Audiotonix.

2. License

Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on any Mac computers you personally own or control. You may not:

Redistribute, resell, or share the Software or your download link
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
Remove or modify any proprietary notices
Use the Software for any unlawful purpose

3. Purchase & Digital Delivery

The Software is a digital product delivered immediately upon purchase. By completing your purchase, you:

Expressly consent to the immediate delivery of the digital content
Acknowledge that delivery begins immediately after purchase
Understand that this means you waive the 14-day withdrawal right provided under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), Article 16(m), to the extent permitted by law

This is in accordance with Finnish consumer protection law (kuluttajansuojalaki) regarding digital content.

4. Early Access & Active Development

The Software is under active development. By purchasing, you acknowledge that:

The Software may not yet support all Allen & Heath mixer models, features, or firmware versions
Functionality may change between versions as the software evolves
Updates are released frequently to improve compatibility, fix bugs, and add features
The in-app update checker will notify you when new versions are available
Some features may be experimental and may be modified or removed in future versions

We are actively working to expand mixer support and improve reliability across all supported consoles. Your feedback and bug reports help us improve the Software for everyone.

5. Updates

Your purchase includes access to all future updates at no additional cost. There is no distinction between major and minor versions — once you purchase, you receive all updates.

Updates may include bug fixes, new features, improved mixer support, and compatibility updates for new macOS versions. Update availability and timing is at our discretion. We are not obligated to provide updates, although we actively intend to continue development.

6. System Requirements & Compatibility

The Software requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later and runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. However:

We do not guarantee compatibility with all Allen & Heath mixer models, firmware versions, or network configurations
We do not guarantee compatibility with future macOS versions, although we aim to maintain support
Mixer protocol behavior may vary between models and firmware versions — some features may work differently or not be available on all consoles
Network conditions, firewalls, and VLAN configurations may affect connectivity
Third-party software (DAWs, MIDI controllers, OSC clients) may have their own compatibility requirements

It is your responsibility to verify that the Software works with your specific mixer model and setup before relying on it in a production environment. We strongly recommend testing thoroughly before any live event or critical use.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, Koodisto Digital does not warrant that:

The Software will meet your specific requirements
The Software will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
The results obtained from using the Software will be accurate or reliable
The Software will be compatible with any particular mixer model, firmware version, or network setup
Any defects in the Software will be corrected, although we actively work to fix reported issues

This disclaimer does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be waived or limited by contract.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KOODISTO DIGITAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Loss of profits, data, or revenue
Equipment damage or malfunction
Disruption to live events, performances, or broadcasts
Costs of substitute goods or services
Any damages arising from the inability to use the Software or from unexpected behavior of the Software
Damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or transmissions

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.

You use the Software entirely at your own risk. This includes, but is not limited to, use during live events, recordings, broadcasts, or any other scenario where reliability is critical. You are solely responsible for having appropriate backup systems and procedures in place.

This limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by Finnish law and does not exclude liability for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Refunds

Given the digital delivery nature of the Software and the waiver of withdrawal rights described in Section 3, refunds are not automatically available. However, we handle refund requests fairly and on a case-by-case basis:

If the Software is fundamentally defective and cannot perform its core functions, contact us within 14 days of purchase
We will first attempt to resolve the issue through support and/or a software update
If we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable time, we will provide a full refund

10. Data & Privacy

The Software may connect to our servers to check for updates (fetching a version information file). No personal data, mixer configurations, MIDI data, or usage analytics are collected or transmitted. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

11. Third-Party Trademarks

Allen & Heath, dLive, Avantis, SQ, CQ, and related names are trademarks of the Audiotonix group. macOS, CoreMIDI, and Apple are trademarks of Apple Inc. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Use of these names is for identification and compatibility purposes only and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

12. Termination

Your license to use the Software continues indefinitely unless terminated. We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and delete all copies. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Koodisto Digital regarding the Software. They supersede any prior agreements or communications.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. If we make material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (e.g., through the in-app update mechanism or on our website). Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also retain any mandatory protections provided by the laws of your country of residence.

Any disputes shall first be attempted to resolve amicably by contacting us at [email protected]. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be resolved in the District Court of Helsinki, Finland. EU consumers may also submit disputes to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
